Our second team walk is planned for 8 March. We’ll be a man down as some lucky git will be elsewhere frolicking in the snow. We’re aiming for a few extra kilometres this time, somewhere between 15 and 20 - depending how lost we get and if we have to rescue any fake ducks.

…here are some of my top tips for avoiding friction blisters, in no particular order:
Zinc oxide tape - if you know you rub in a certain place, tape it before you start. If you start to feel a bit of a rub, tape it before it turns into a blister.

Music is a beautiful thing. Mix with walking and you have a powerful combo that can temporarily take away your blister pain, make an uphill slog pass in an instant or help you eek out that last drop of energy that you didn’t know you had.
